Instructions

Please read before starting the tasks!

• What you will need: a device that is connected to the Internet, a quiet room.

  • Our tasks are compatible with any computers or tablets. Smartphones are not recommended. We recommend you use either Chrome or Safari.

• When and where: In a quiet environment when your child is most alert.

• There are two test tasks, one in Mandarin and one in English. Please click on the tabs below and complete them one by one. You don't have to complete all tasks on one day, but once you start a task, please finish it.

Instructions for the testing modules:

• Before starting, please make sure that the audio of the device is set at a good volume so that your child can hear it clearly.

• Enter the participant ID that was sent to you in the email.

• The first question(s) of each task is for practice. During practice, you will teach your child how to do the task. For each question, there will be 2-4 pictures on the screen, then the audio will play a sentence that matches one of the pictures. Ask your child to select the picture that matches the audio. 

• At the top of the page, there is a bar to help you track your progress. 

NOTES

• Some of the questions are meant to be difficult and your child may not know the answer. This is perfectly fine. Encourage them to take a guess and please do not help your child or correct their mistakes.

• If your child misses the first audio play, please wait and the audio will be played again after a short time. Please do not repeat the sentences.
