Dynamic Assessment of Narrative in Cantonese

WHAT is the purpose of the study?
Adapting an existing dynamic assessment tool, the narrative subtest of the Predictive Early Assessment of Reading and Language (PEARL), into the Dynamic Assessment of Narrative in Cantonese (DANIC).

WHO are eligible to participate?

Cantonese-speaking children that are between 5 to 6 years.

​

WHAT will your child be asked to do?

Telling stories based on pictures, answering questions, undergoing a standardized language assessment (HKCOLAS) and a hearing screening.

WHEN and WHERE will the study take place?

The study will take place at the the Speech Therapy Clinic (STU) at PolyU and we will schedule sessions at your convenience.

​

We will be able to provide information about the participating child’s general language ability and $300 coupon to to the participating family!
